Typically we opt for an integrated approach - meaning we combine any number of therapy styles and techniques. We find that this allows us more flexibility in session and better results long-term.

CBT | COGNITIVE BEHAVIOURAL THERAPY

A problem solving focused form of therapy that looks at the relationship between a persons beliefs, thoughts, feelings and behaviours. This type of therapy is fairly active - meaning sessions will consist of learning and practicing skills in addition to discussing the concerns you came in to address.

ACT | ACCEPTANCE + COMMITMENT THERAPY

This form of therapy utilizes a mindfulness based approach to assist individuals. Primarily this therapy focuses on assisting people in gaining a better understanding of what their values and circumstances are. Learning how they can live happily in accordance with those factors while developing flexibility and understanding.

CCT | CLIENT CENTERED THERAPY

A more personal approach to therapy. This is a form of talk therapy that is client led. Essentially a judgment free zone where you are able to explore, connect, and work through your concerns with a professional who is open, understanding, and empathetic.

EFT | EMOTION FOCUSED THERAPY

A collaborative form of therapy aimed at understanding a persons emotions. Aims to investigate when and why certain emotions are present, and what we can do in response to our emotions. Sessions typically focus on increasing ones awareness, understanding, and acceptance of their emotions.

NET | NARRATIVE EXPOSURE THERAPY

A trauma therapy that enables a client to safety explore past traumas and life events while integrating factual information, past and present emotions in an effort contextualize life experiences and heal.

ST | Sex Therapy

A comprehensive and holistic approach to addressing a wide range of issues related to sexual wellbeing. This collaborative therapy addresses the biological, psychological, and sociological factors that impact on sexual health, sexual fulfillment, and the impact that sex and sexuality can have on general wellbeing.
